In 1988, TAO Productions was formed by Andy Cotton with a view to offering it's clients a one stop shop for all events big or small: public or private; this became a one stop shop with a difference for the event world; safety crews are qualified (NEBOSH, NCRQ or University Diploma); Counter Terrorism Risk Managers are ex-police or University EvCTRM qualified; fire safety is undertaken by current fire fighters who are up to date with legislation and best practice; medical facilities are managed by qualified doctors or paramedics with event medical experience; site co-ordination is undertaken by site managers who understand crowd dynamics, catering requirements and other site factors; production managers are qualified and have years of experience and are supported by some of the best production suppliers in the world and event managers are award winners; TAO Productions only employs highly qualified and experienced crews to promote it's clients requirements of safe, successful and commercially viable events.
Over the past twenty years of working on events worldwide, personnel from TAO Productions have worked on major events for Local Authorities like The London Borough of Lambeth, Oxford City Council and The City of Halifax in Nova Scotia; major outdoor festivals including Beautiful Days Festival, Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers for Mumford & Sons, Harvest at Jimmy's, The xx Night and Day Events, The Legitimate Peaky Blinders Festival and The Eden Sessions.
TAO Productions has also been responsible for major corporate and charity events including The Tribe Awards Ceremony for L'Oreal Redken, the opening ceremonies for the Deaf Olympics in Taiwan; the Sky televised Legends Pro-Celebrity Charity Football Match; the 3GSM World Congress in Cannes for Motorola, Private UK Party attended by UK Royalty, Safety Management for the 2014 Wales Summit of NATO, Landsec PLC Events and The Dubai World Cup Opening Ceremony.
More recently as TAO Productions has increased its services, crews from TAO have been responsible for Safety for Diana Ross, Ed Sheeran, Craig David, Bellator MMA and Ball & Boe; Production Management for Rita Ora X Factor Live and Sir Cliff Richard's 2013 Tour; Medical Management for Lambeth Country Show, Il Devo Film Shoot; Construction Safety Planning for Pope Benedict XVI London visit; River Rescue for The BNY Mellon Boat Race event and even the full venue safety and management for The Dubai Palladium and the FBN Rehearsal Studios.
TAO Productions has a well deserved reputation for excellence within the world events industry and TAO's Andy Cotton is regularly called upon to lecture for the UK Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College, Bucks University, The Theatre Managers Association and has lectured in Poland, Canada, Belfast and The Republic of Ireland in recent years.
